Digitol Platform Essentials: What You Can (and Can’t) Do

 Practical Guide to Making the Right Starting Moves

Reliance Group has partnered with Digitol Services to offer a powerful platform for Office Product Dealers looking to modernize, automate, and grow. It is a powerful platform with so many capabilities, so it's fair to ask:

  • Where do I start?
  • Can I implement parts of the platform independently?
  • What are the dependencies?

This guide has been compiled to help explain the service elements and their dependencies.

1. Can I Start with a New Website?

Yes. You can launch a Digitol website as a standalone service. These sites are built for structured content, fast performance, AI-readiness, and search optimization.

A Digitol website is required if you want:

  • Integrated AI chatbot for on-site support
  • SEO content strategies that rank

However, we do not offer marketing services unless the dealer is enrolled in the RS4 program, which requires adoption of the complete Digitol platform (website, e-commerce, DCA, and 2CLIXZ). The Digitol Marketing Campaign service depends on structured content and a pivot in sales strategy to RS4. RS4 can only be offered when all elements of the Digitol platform are deployed.

2. Can I Use the E-Commerce Portal Without a Website or 2CLIXZ?

Yes. Our e-commerce platform is a major upgrade from most legacy portals and can function independently. It is especially powerful for dealers frustrated by limited catalog control, poor vendor flexibility, or administrative overhead.

Key advantages:

  • Vendor-agnostic: Combine all your vendors into a unified catalog
  • Vendor-facing contracts: Support for multiple price lists per vendor
  • Customer-facing contracts: Pricing down to the SKU level
  • Automatic catalog updates
  • Smart pricing tools
  • Significant administrative time savings

However, this platform alone won’t outperform a legacy portal without deeper integration into the RS4 program. To compete with platforms like Amazon, you'll want to connect it with:

  • 2CLIXZ for automated, error-free reordering
  • A modern website and AI-enhanced customer experience
  • DCA for predictive fulfillment and intelligent automation

3. Can I get any value from the 2CLIXZ mobile App Without deploying the Digitol E-Commerce platform?

Technically, yes, but it is not recommended if you want to benefit from the full lift. Without Digitol E-commerce, you could manually build out a 2CLIXZ "Shop" by uploading SKUs, pricing, product images, and item attributes. The system could also function as a ticketing tool using QR codes and allow mapping of consumables to specific printers.

However, this requires substantial manual effort, and most dealers will not invest the time. Customers would also experience limited functionality.

2CLIXZ is designed to be paired with the Digitol e-commerce platform. When integrated, it enables:

  • Automated catalog updates
  • Customer-specific pricing
  • Transfer of specific SKUs to the mobile App - with one million or more products underlying the client e-commerce catalog, we do not want to push all these products into the App. Instead, we take narrower wishlists into the App so the customer can quickly and easily find what they want without having to search a massive catalog and deal with the resulting confusion.
  • Automated supply cabinet replenishment
  • Real-time inventory and pricing
  • Intelligent order generation via QR scans
  • Budget control supporting dispersed spending (i.e., remote workers) with centralized control.

4. Can I Use 2CLIXZ with My Legacy E-Commerce Portal?

No. Legacy systems lack the dynamic catalog architecture and integrations required to support 2CLIXZ functionality. Only the Digitol platform supports the automation and SKU mapping logic 2CLIXZ relies on.

5. Can I Have Supply Cabinet Management Without 2CLIXZ?

No. All cabinet functionality—including automated reorder generation based on MIN/MAX levels—is built into 2CLIXZ.

How it works:

  • QR codes are applied to assets (not SKUs). For supply cabinets, that means the cabinet itself.
  • The associated SKU list and pricing are linked to that cabinet.
  • After scanning the cabinet QR, the SKU list is displayed for easy stock counting.
  • Once inventory is entered, the app auto-generates the required reorder.

6. Who Performs the Physical Stock Count?

Your team does. We provide Supply Cabinet QR codes. You map customer supply cabinet SKUs to the QR using our friendly 2CLIXZ UI. Your sales reps or customers scan the cabinet QR (i.e., once per month or more frequently if needed), enter on-hand stock counts, and the system calculates replenishments.

Training? No retraining required. The RS4 model is designed to be adopted as a pivot from conventional approaches. We provide sales collateral to support the rollout.

7. Can I Use the DCA Without Website, E-Commerce, or 2CLIXZ?

Yes. The DCA (Data Capture Agent) can be deployed independently. It gives visibility into print fleet activity and consumable usage.

Used on its own, it provides valuable reporting. But the full benefits come when paired with:

  • Digitol e-commerce (to trigger automated reorders)
  • 2CLIXZ (for just-in-time replacements and user engagement)
  • When deployed independently of other Digitol platform elements, the DCA cannot:
    • Bundle multiple consumables into a single shipment
    • Acting standalone, the DCA can only send notifications as and when they are triggered - i.e., percent remaining or days remaining.
    • The size of the fleet hierarchy and the device usage will determine the number of notifications launched.
    • The notification's quality depends entirely on the setup's quality. For example, if the device is not associated with a user, the system will not know who the cartridge needs to be delivered to.If multiple similar devices at the customer location take the same cartridge, then that cartridge can easily be mislaid and never reach its intended location.
    • If the physical location of the device (Address, floor, building, etc.) is not clearly defined, then the quality of a consumable requirement notification will be significantly impacted.
    • In essence, the DCA provides data - when combined with the rest of the Digitol platform, that data is converted into actionable business intelligence.

The DCA is foundational to intelligent fulfillment and long-term dealer profitability.

8. Can I Get Marketing Services Without a Digitol Website?

No. Our marketing services — including email campaigns, social media outreach, and AI-driven engagement — are only offered to dealers using a Digitol website and enrolled in the RS4 program. This ensures:

  • Clean, structured metadata for search engines
  • Proper link architecture to signal user intent
  • AI chatbot integration to support campaigns
  • Consistency across digital touchpoints

Without this structure, marketing ROI suffers — and campaigns may drive users to dead ends. Our approach isn’t about blasting noise — it’s about building a smart, integrated buyer journey.
